Dante and Dreamin’

Dante has pulled me back (see Anniversary post below) but this time, it is not as dark.  It has been eight and a half years but it was so vivid.  I could touch her and smell her.  She was so real.  My mother.  She was there and we were holding hands and talking, just like we always did.  Things were a little different as she was playing with my kids, making them laugh, as her infectious smile lit up the room.  I knew she would love being with her grandchildren, soaking up every story and event as if it were the most important thing she had ever heard.  It has now been 16 hours since the dream but that imagery has been hovering like a soft cloud around my subconscience all day.  I want to hold onto it, to savor every detail, but I know that it too will fade with time…
