Sensitivity

Yesterday I was at Doctor’s office and observed a conversation that disturbed me.  A 30ish woman, super stylish and attractive, just had baby a few weeks prior and she was clearly back in her fighting weight, which may be around 110 pounds.  The receptionist, a 40ish chubby lady with a lovely smile, commented that Stylee is in such great shape after just having a baby and asked her how she does it.  Stylee responded by saying that she eats a “sleeve of oreos” everynight but does manage to go the gym everyday.  Receptee says “Oh I just hate the gym. Can’t get into it”.  Stylee then launches into a diatribe about how Receptee MUST have a personal trainer several times a week to motivate at the gym and to lose weight.  Stylee goes on to talk about how wonderful her trainer is and how she would love to pass on the info to Receptee.  Receptee, looking crestfallen, simply responds that she cannot afford a personal trainer and then she gets back to her work.  Stylee, totally clueless that she just emasculated this woman (is that word ok for a woman?), grabbed her Starbucks coffee with a smile and stepped out into the waiting Escalade.  Thoughts?
